Teachers - Grade 6-7
Hi, my name is Erin Payne! I've been teaching since 2002, and so I've been working in this profession for 18 years now. Prior to that I was something of a professional student. I began my university career at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) in Prince George, and graduated in 1998 with a degree in history. Then I went to Japan for a year and taught English as a second language. Upon returning, I started my family (I have three kids now!) and began my masters degree in modern history at Queen's University in Kingston, ON. After completing that degree I began my B.Ed. there to qualify me as a teacher. I obtained my B.Ed from Queen's in 2002 and started teaching that fall on a Cree reserve in northern Alberta. Since then I've taught primarily in Cree and Anishinabek communities. But I'm not all school! I enjoy fishing, hunting, kayaking, and just about anything outdoors. I've been working in Eden Valley since the summer of 2018 and have enjoyed my time here very much. Thank-you for welcoming me to your community. If you ever have any questions for me, please contact me at the school. I welcome your input! Thanks!
